What we collect
Teeboxd collects the minimum data needed to provide a personalized course rating and discovery experience. This includes your email address (for account authentication), home ZIP code (for local recommendations), course ratings and reviews you submit, tags you apply to courses, and preference selections from onboarding.
How we use it
Your data is used to power your teeboxd experience: generating personalized course recommendations, displaying your rating history, building your taste profile, and contributing to community averages. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
Teeboxd may include links to third-party services such as tee time booking platforms. These links are provided for your convenience and may generate referral fees for teeboxd. When you interact with a third-party service, their own privacy policy applies. Teeboxd does not share your personal data with these partners.
Paid features
Teeboxd may offer optional paid features in the future. If you choose to subscribe, your payment information is processed by Apple (via the App Store) or the applicable payment provider. Teeboxd does not directly store your payment or credit card information.
Authentication
Teeboxd uses Firebase Authentication by Google. You can sign up with email and password or with your Google account. Authentication credentials are managed by Firebase and are not stored directly by teeboxd. For details on how Firebase handles authentication data, see Google's privacy policy.
Data storage
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, hosted in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
Account deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen within the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All ratings, reviews, and profile data will be removed.
Analytics and tracking
Teeboxd does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Children
Teeboxd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
